About the studio
Narrative Interiors is a residential interior design studio based in Oakland, California. It was founded on the realization that our homes are one of the few environments that we get to fully shape for ourselves, and the belief that great spaces tell stories. Your story is unique. Your home should be, too.
Because our projects are reflections of our varied clientele, no two homes look alike, but our approach remains consistent. We create inviting yet polished interiors with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship, a mixture of treasures new and old, and a unifying level of substance and style. Our measure of success is that the whole is infinitely greater than the sum of its parts, and that the storyline that ties them all together is one only you could tell.

ABOUT LILIA
Lilia Fulton is the owner and principal designer of Narrative Interiors. After a 12-year career stint in the life science industry, she decided to flex her underutilized creative muscle and follow a new career path in a field she’d always loved, interior design.
Lilia is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley twice-over, once from the Interior Design & Interior Architecture program, and also from the undergraduate program in Molecular & Cell Biology.
She brings to her practice a keen appreciation for understated beauty in both the natural and man-made worlds, technical expertise in both arts and science that marries form and function, and an avid dedication to a good tale, well told.
